*Appearance (description or picture):
- The picture on the left is his human form, when he's completely himself. He also has a half-shifted form, where he walks bipedally, but his body is covered in mousy gray-brown fur. He still bears the facial features of a human, but fangs, vampire like in nature, jut out three inches down, out of his mouth.
- This is the closest representation I can find of the full-fledged Chupacabra. This artist is close, with only a couple inaccuracies- the fangs are too short (Cadence's are about five inches long in this form) and the ears are too small. The larger ears can swivel like a fox's, and allow a Chupacabra to to pick up sound from many yards away. It has a bob tail, and stands four and a half feet at the shoulder when on all paws.

*Flaws: Cadence is expected to reach at least six feet, four inches tall (based on the three year old rule) by the end of puberty, so he will probably have trouble with his sheer size later in life. It causes him trouble even now; his wide shoulders give him grief getting through narrow doorways and he has to duck his head through low doorways or ceilings. More than once he has whacked his head on a doorframe and he is sure to many more times in the future.
Clothes and Accessories: Many, and varied. Since he comes from a high-class family, he gets pretty much whatever he wants, and has been seen in pinstripe suits as well as torn jeans and graphic tee shirts. The only thing that is consistent from day to day is his cigarettes. He isn't supposed to smoke, but he does. It's been a habit since he was in sixth grade.
*Personality: To put this simply, Cadence is NOT a good guy. He is truly stuck-up, enjoys giving others grief, relishes the chance to hurt anyone, even his friends, and is bitter and evil to the core. Love is a concept completely alien to him. He has never felt affection, and has never had any need of it, as he has his blackmailing ways to gain loyalty. However the bonds of this companionship are very weak. There are those who have gone as far as to try to kill him because of the way he's treated them- but a super-strong Chupacabra shifter is a tough cookie to backstab.
Though brutality and ruggedness might be some of the qualities that make him dangerous, don't underestimate his brain, when looking at his brawn. He's surprisingly clever, and is a fast learner. He might seem rash, but every one of his risks are calculated.
*Flaws: His biggest flaws are probably just his sheer evil nature, and his pride. Cadence thinks that he's the best thing to come into the world since his kind, whose roots stretch back 8,000 years, and he is not hesitant to accept any challenge that would prove his claim. He's not done it yet, but some say that he'll even go as far as killing to preserve his Earth-size ego. Like many tragic heroes and villains, it might someday be his downfall.

Quirks: Wiggles his right foot in conversation. If there's something in his hand then, too, he plays with it. Grows fangs and bites his own tongue, swallowing the blood from it, when bored.
Pet-peeves: Answers of "I don't know," for things that are obvious (Sometimes only to him). He can come completely unglued during these situations. Also, those who persistently try to unseat him from his high pedestal.

*History: Though Chupacabra Sightings occur mostly in South America and Puerto Rico, don't think for a moment that they only exist there. It's just a coincidence that the branch of the Geneva Family that resides over there is considered to be just a little bit gone in the head. So, they are a little more careless about how and where they feed. They also happen to be the largest section of the family, so more food- blood- is needed to keep them sustained.
But enough about the large network of Chupacabra shifters that live all over the world, and on to Cadence himself. He was born to Handlin and Terra Geneva, in what's considered the extreme Southwestern region of the family's range- Santiago, Chile. His mom and dad had moved from America a couple years before, in hiding from an unknown crime. Chupacabra shifters tend to be ill tempered by nature. One of the first things that was noticed was the rune on his back. The news quickly made its way into the family, and many Genevas from all over the world came to see the boy. There hadn't been a runed one among them in more than 300 years. Now that one of them bore the mark again their future as a family- and in their own eyes, a species- was secured.
Cadence grew up around violence so he quickly got used to it. His dad was a hitman, and openly, too. That would be the job Cadence would probably have now if it wasn't for the rune. But because of it his parents decided to leave him to decide his own path, professionally. However they raised him normally, along with his younger sisters, hunting for exotic game around the world and teaching him to kill at any time and in any way.
He himself developed his controlling personality, a trait that runs in the Chupacabra line. He's always been known as the bully, and is constantly testing the limits of his superiors at school. Countless times he's come within an inch of being expelled.
Recently when the letter for Academy Celeste came in the mail, Cadence's parents jumped at the chance to send him, treating it as sort of a start to maturation and independence. They don't care if they see him again. His little sisters, however, adore him and have pledged in secret to come visit when they can.
